Senior Director, M&A and Strategy

Overview

In this role you lead inorganic growth and strategic planning for BTG, guiding M&A from target screening to integration while partnering with Cytiva leadership and Danaher Corporate Development. You shape the annual BTG strategy, analyze markets, and drive growth through both organic and inorganic opportunities. You will work across functions to align initiatives, communicate progress to boards, and influence senior stakeholders in a fast-paced, matrixed environment. Responsibilities

• Own the full M&A lifecycle from target identification to integration planning and execution
• Build and maintain an acquisition pipeline aligned with BTG strategic priorities
• Lead or co-lead annual BTG strategic planning, market analysis, and scenario planning
• Develop thought leadership on industry trends to inform growth initiatives
• Prepare board-level presentations and executive updates on M&A progress
• Collaborate with Finance, Legal, R&D, Commercial, and Operations to align strategic initiatives
• Drive post-acquisition integration planning and performance tracking

Key requirements

• 10+ years in M&A, corporate development, corporate strategy, investment banking, or private equity
• 5+ years in life sciences or biotech
• Strong experience in M&A diligence and strategic planning
• Advanced financial modeling, valuation, and due diligence expertise; ROIC modeling
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills for executive audiences
• Ability to thrive in a matrixed organization and influence senior stakeholders
• Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Economics, Finance, or related field; MBA or Masters
• Top-tier consulting or investment firm experience considered a plus
• Experience leading market research projects and synthesizing insights into actionable plans
