Head of Commerical Finance

Overview

In this role you will lead the financial planning, budgeting and performance analysis for the business, shaping financial strategy to support objectives. You will partner with senior stakeholders to drive insights, ensure accurate reporting, and maintain regulatory compliance. You will mentor the finance team and collaborate with other departments to boost efficiency and cost effectiveness, delivering tangible impact across the organisation.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage financial planning and budgeting processes
• Analyse financial performance and provide actionable insights to senior stakeholders
• Oversee preparation of accurate financial reports and forecasts
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards
• Develop and implement financial strategies to support business objectives
• Manage and mentor the finance team to achieve departmental goals
• Collaborate with other departments to optimise financial performance
• Identify opportunities for cost savings and operational efficiencies

Key requirements

• Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
• Strong financial analysis and strategic planning skills
• Experience in managing budgets and financial forecasting
• Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance requirements
• Excellent leadership and team management abilities
• Strong communication skills to interact with senior stakeholders
• Background in the property industry advantageous but not essential
