Contract Manager

Overview

As a Contract Manager in the gas sector, you will lead the delivery of gas, mechanical and electrical projects from planning to completion. You will guide multidisciplinary teams, work with clients and partners, and ensure projects meet safety, quality and regulatory standards. You will apply your gas industry knowledge to support decisions and resolve issues, while optimising programmes, procurement, and milestones. Responsibilities

• Deliver gas, mechanical and electrical projects from planning through to completion
• Provide strong leadership to project teams, site personnel and delivery partners
• Plan programmes, resources, procurement activities and project milestones
• Build and maintain client, local authority and supply chain relationships
• Apply gas technical knowledge to support delivery and decision-making
• Monitor performance, costs, health and safety, and compliance
• Coordinate contractors, subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely completion
• Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies throughout the lifecycle

Key requirements

• Experience as Contract Manager or M&E Project Manager or similar senior delivery role
• Strong technical experience within the gas industry
• Understanding of gas transmission and distribution, oil and gas, or related engineering environments
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage complex projects
• Strong planning, organisational and commercial awareness
• Ability to develop positive relationships with clients, local authorities and supply chain partners
• Confident communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills
