Spirehouse Recruitment is looking for an Associate Recruitment Consultant to join our growing Public Sector Legal division, specialising in the placement of locum and interim solicitors within local government.

This is a genuine career development opportunity. You will initially join in a delivery-focused role, working directly with the Director to develop your market knowledge, build candidate relationships and support live recruitment assignments. Our structured training and mentoring programme is designed to support your progression into a 360 Recruitment Consultant role within approximately 3-9 months, giving you responsibility for developing client relationships, managing vacancies and generating revenue.

About Spirehouse Recruitment

Spirehouse Recruitment is a growing specialist recruitment business that has quickly established itself within the public sector market. Despite being a relatively young company, we have already grown to a team of more than 12 consultants, with ambitious plans for further expansion.

Our Public Sector Legal division is a key area of growth, offering the opportunity to play a role in building one of the leading specialist legal recruitment teams serving local government.

The Role

  • Supporting the Director with candidate delivery and placements.
  • Identifying, interviewing and engaging with legal professionals.
  • Managing candidates throughout the recruitment process.
  • Developing knowledge of the local government legal market.
  • Building your own client and candidate relationships as you progress.
  • Evolving into a full 360 recruitment role with responsibility for your own clients, vacancies and revenue generation.

About You

We are ideally looking for someone who is degree educated, with previous recruitment experience. Candidates able to demonstrate strong intellectual capability, excellent written communication skills and professional credibility will also be considered.

You will be ambitious, commercially driven and motivated by career progression and earning potential. You will enjoy building relationships and understand that successful recruitment occasionally requires flexibility outside standard working hours to deliver an outstanding service to clients and candidates.

The Opportunity

This is an opportunity to build a career in a high-value, lucrative recruitment market with genuine progression and significant earning potential.

Working directly with the Director, you will develop into a specialist recruiter within the local government legal sector, building expertise in a niche market where strong performance is highly rewarded.

Alongside a basic salary of £25,000 – £28,000, we offer an industry-leading uncapped commission scheme, with realistic first-year earnings of £35,000 – £45,000 and substantially higher earning potential as you establish yourself and progress into a full consultant role.

If you are ambitious, hardworking and want to develop into a successful specialist Recruitment Consultant, we would like to hear from you.
