Apply for the Senior VP – Credit Risk SME / Developer
Location: London
Job Description:

VP Credit Risk Technology | C# / .NET / SQL | London

I’m working with a major global investment bank that is expanding its Credit Risk Technology capability in London.

What you’ll be working on:

  • Building and enhancing Credit Risk technology platforms
  • C# / .NET application development and technical design
  • SQL, data processing, feeds and batch infrastructure
  • Credit Risk analytics, modelling and risk calculations
  • Counterparty / Credit Risk technology and related risk data
  • Large-scale migration and transformation programmes
  • Consolidation and integration of third-party risk platforms
  • Replacement / modernisation of legacy risk technology
  • New entities, feeds, data pipelines and business processes
  • Increasing use of AI-assisted engineering and tools such as GitHub Copilot
  • Working closely with Risk, Technology and senior stakeholders

The background we’re looking for:

  • Proven experience working directly within Credit Risk or Counterparty Credit Risk
  • Understanding of credit exposure, limits, collateral, credit calculations, risk analytics or related functionality
  • Experience building technology for a Risk function rather than simply supporting generic financial systems
  • Strong software engineering fundamentals and an ability to operate at VP level
  • Architecture, technical leadership or team leadership experience is advantageous
  • Exposure to S&P, RiskMetrics or other third-party Credit Risk platforms would be particularly relevant
  • Experience with migration / transformation programmes is useful
  • Practical exposure to AI-assisted development is a plus

Important: Market Risk, Liquidity Risk or Regulatory Reporting experience alone will not be sufficient. The key requirement is demonstrable Credit Risk / Counterparty Credit Risk experience.

The role is based in Central London / Moorgate, with 3 days per week in the office and Thursday as the key team day.

There is also a genuine progression path towards Architecture and Technical Team Leadership.
