Software Engineer

Overview

In this role you will design and deliver high-quality software for Barclays’ digital ecosystem, focusing on scalable, event-driven platforms that support real-time integrations. You collaborate with product, design, and other engineers to align solutions with business objectives and security standards. You’ll contribute to code quality through reviews, testing, and secure coding practices while staying current with tech trends. Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver scalable, high-quality software using relevant languages, frameworks, and tools
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to define requirements and ensure alignment with business goals
• Participate in code reviews and promote code quality and knowledge sharing
• Stay informed on technology trends and contribute to technology communities
• Adhere to secure coding practices and implement effective unit testing
• Contribute to building and maintaining a scalable, real-time integration platform (webhooks, streaming, infrastructure, deployments)
