Lead Product Analyst – FinCrime

Overview

In this role you will help Wise stay ahead of money laundering by partnering with product teams to enable data-driven growth while preserving a smooth user experience. You’ll implement controls and build scalable risk-management frameworks that balance security with convenience. You’ll collaborate with product, design, data science and engineering to translate insights into real improvements for customers. This is an opportunity to shape Wise’s approach to financial crime prevention at scale.

Responsibilities

• Expose data and process insights to cross-functional product teams in a frictionless way
• Own and track key metrics for product and operations, ensuring quarterly accountability
• Collaborate with data scientists to detect and mitigate financial crime
• Build and scale risk-management framework balancing customer experience and security
• Drive discovery by scoping opportunities and proposing features, rules and models
• Collaborate with Product, Data Science, Engineering and Operations teams

Key requirements

• Strong quantitative skills with a background in statistics, maths, physics, engineering, or related field
• Experience with SQL and Python
• Strong communication and ability to translate business problems into analytical solutions
• Ability to structure problems with minimal supervision and prioritize independently
• Hustler mentality and ability to drive deliverables beyond analysis
• Experience with data visualization tools (Looker, PowerBI, Tableau) and ability to tell stories with data
• 4+ years of professional data analysis experience
