Senior Project Manager

Overview

You will lead healthcare project delivery for a broad portfolio within a construction consultancy. In this role you own complex schemes, manage multidisciplinary teams, and maintain key client relationships from feasibility through handover. You will drive programmes, budgets and quality while guiding procurement and contract administration. You’ll shape design development, support business growth in healthcare PM, and mentor junior colleagues. This is a client-facing, impact-focused position in a collaborative, professional environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead healthcare project delivery from feasibility to handover
• Be primary client contact, building strong relationships
• Manage multidisciplinary teams, consultants, contractors, and stakeholders
• Monitor programmes, budgets, risks, and quality; implement solutions
• Oversee procurement, tender processes, and contract administration
• Prepare reports and recommendations for clients and senior stakeholders
• Coordinate design development ensuring healthcare standards and operations
• Support business development for the healthcare PM offering
• Provide guidance to junior team members and develop capability across the team

Key requirements

• Proven experience as Project Manager or Senior Project Manager in a construction consultancy
• Strong track record delivering healthcare construction projects (live/operational environments preferred)
• Experience managing projects through multiple RIBA stages (inception to completion)
• Knowledge of project delivery, procurement, contract administration, programme and cost control
• Excellent client-facing, communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and handle competing priorities
• Proactive, commercially aware with ownership mindset
• Relevant construction or project management qualifications; MAPM/MRICS/MCIOB advantageous
