Regional Cleaning Manager

Position Overview

Position: Regional Cleaning Manager (Full‑time, Permanent, 40 hours per week, Monday‑Friday). Salary: £40,000.00 per annum. Benefits: Company car & fuel card. Location: Covering sites across South West England. Hours: 40 hours per week. Shifts: Monday – Friday. The role requires regional travel regularly (2‑3 days per week) to manage mobile teams.

Role Summary

Our client, a facilities provider, is recruiting a Regional Cleaning Manager responsible for window cleaning operations throughout the South West of England. The successful candidate will manage up to 8 area managers, oversee a large portfolio of sites, and ensure budget constraints, KPIs, SLA compliance, and high audit scores.

Job Responsibilities

• Manage area managers and cleaners across retail sites.
• Ensure KPIs and weekly checks are delivered to defined standards and corrective action is taken as required.
• Oversee rotas and cleaning schedules for a large portfolio, ensuring operatives attend all sites on time and maintain high cleaning standards.
• Manage circa 9 direct reports and indirectly manage significantly more cleaners.
• Effectively manage retail cleaning contracts.
• Manage client relationships, ensuring cleaning standards are met and frequent audits are undertaken.
• Recruit and train all cleaning staff and management in the area, securing best talent.
• Control area and site costs within budget and ensure health & safety requirements are followed.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients through regular contact.
• Conduct weekly and monthly cleaning audits.
• Handle HR issues and disciplinary matters.

Candidate Background & Experience

• Multi‑site cleaning management experience.
• Experience managing area cleaning managers and supervisors.
• Experience managing cleaning budgets.
• Results driven.
• Proficient in Excel, Word, and Email.

Other Requirements

• Full and valid driving licence and willingness to travel daily.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and be hands‑on where required.
