n The Opportunity

n

An established and growing business based in Macclesfield is seeking an experienced Credit Controller to join its finance team on a temp-to-perm basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated finance professional who can make an immediate impact by managing customer accounts, maximising cash collection, and reducing aged debt into the Finance Manager, you will take ownership of a busy ledger, working closely with customers and internal stakeholders to ensure outstanding balances are collected efficiently while maintaining strong professional relationships.

n Key Responsibilities

n

n
• Proactively chase outstanding debt via telephone, email, and written correspondence.

n

• Investigate and resolve customer queries promptly to ensure timely payment.

n

• Escalate complex or high-risk accounts where appropriate.

n

• Monitor aged debt and identify opportunities to improve cash collection performance.

n

• Carry out credit checks and due diligence on new customer accounts.

n

• Work collaboratively with internal teams to ensure accurate and timely invoicing.

n

• Maintain strong customer relationships while managing financial risk.

n

• Support continuous improvement initiatives within the credit control function.

n

• Assist with reporting and account reconciliation as required.

n About You

n

n
• Previous experience within a Credit Control position.

n

• Proven track record of cash collection and reducing aged debt.

n

• Target and KPI driven.

n

• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

n

• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

n

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.

n

• Experience using NetSuite or a similar ERP system would be advantageous.

n

• Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team.

n

• Available to start immediately or at short notice.

n
