Overview
In this pivotal role, you will lead the design, development and maintenance of bespoke fire administration software and automation for the online portal into our administration systems. You will drive improvements to fire pension systems and processes, including automation and efficiency gains, while also working on internal portals and middleware from the member portal to administration systems. This is a hands-on, innovate-and-learn role that requires practical delivery and market-leading development. Your work will shape how clients access and administer fire pension services within the council’s digital ecosystem.
Responsibilities
- Lead design, development and maintenance of bespoke software for fire pension schemes
- Identify opportunities to improve systems and processes, including automation and efficiency gains
- Develop middleware and integration between member portal and administration systems
- Contribute to in-house portal projects with back-end web development
- Adopt a learning culture and pursue innovation and market-leading developments
- Bring experience with Civica’s UPM application and web back-end development
