They’re looking for an Intermediate Electrical Engineer to join either their Croydon or Central London office.About the businessThis is a growing MEP consultancy that wants to become one of the UK’s leading independent building services practices. They work across healthcare, commercial, education, defence, industrial, leisure and public sector projects, and have a particularly strong reputation in healthcare. Because the firm is an Employee Owned Trust, the team shares directly in its success.The roleYou’ll work alongside experienced Senior Engineers and Directors through every project stage, and take on more responsibility for individual elements and smaller schemes as you go. There’s a clear path towards Senior Electrical Engineer. The work includes:Surveys, design calculations, drawings, specifications and technical reportsCable sizing, lighting calcs and equipment selections (ElectricalOM, Dialux)Marked-up drawings for CAD, or modelling directly in CAD/RevitFeasibility studies, condition surveys and engineering assessmentsDesign meetings, tender evaluations, site meetings, snagging and practical completionInput on decarbonisation, Net Zero, TM54 and TM65What they’re looking forA degree, HNC/HND or equivalent in Electrical or Building Services EngineeringUK building services consultancy experienceExperience with Amtech, Dialux, ElectricalOM, AutoCAD or RevitKnowledge of Building Regulations and the British Standards that applyGood communication skills, and you’re happy attending site visits and client meetingsWhat’s on offer£48,000 salaryEmployee Owned Trust annual bonusPrivate medical insurance2x life assuranceSalary sacrifice pension (3% employer / 5% employee)Paid professional membership fees, plus training and CPD supportCycle to Work schemeHybrid working, Monday to Friday 9:00-5:30, 24 days’ holiday plus bank holidays
