Senior Consultant – Consents Management

Overview

In this role you will support major programmes and asset-owner enterprises by enabling integration across development lifecycles. You will work with an integrated project team to deliver client outcomes and help shape governance, transition, and consent management across complex projects. You will engage with stakeholders, lead or contribute to bids, and mentor junior team members, contributing to the growth of a high-performing Programme Advisory practice. Responsibilities

• Work as part of an integrated project team to ensure delivery of key client deliverables
• Design and facilitate client workshops and presentations
• Manage client relationships
• Identify and realise business development opportunities
• Lead or contribute to the preparation of bid proposals or manage key bids
• Lead internal initiatives within the Programme Advisory team, such as developing programme integration products and methodologies
• Mentor and/or manage members of the Programme Advisory team
• Line manage junior staff (where applicable)

Key requirements

• Excellent knowledge and practical experience of the lifecycle of a consent process from pre to post consent
• Strong technical understanding of consents strategy via routes (DCO, TWAO, Hybrid Bill)
• Experience with discharging primary and secondary consents and post-consent deliverables
• Experience of pre-application and liaising with internal and external stakeholders within large and complex organisations
• Experience coordinating approvals between interested parties and managing consent management plans/strategies
• Experience in a consulting environment or demonstrable consulting skillset
• Proven track record of delivering tangible results across projects with nimble approach
• Experience of programme and/or project management in a complex environment with multiple workstreams
• Experience designing and facilitating client workshops or willingness to learn
• Experience producing high-quality deliverables under tight timelines
• Experience building productive working relationships and identifying new business opportunities
• Experience in sectors: infrastructure, transportation, utilities, defence, natural resources, and real estate
