We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, reliable and well organised Catering Assistant to join our friendly team at Quayside School.This is an exciting opportunity to play an important role in our school community by helping to provide nutritious, appetising meals and a positive dining experience for our pupils and staff.As Catering Assistant, you will support the planning, preparation and serving of food and beverages, ensuring high standards of food hygiene, health and safety, and customer service are maintained at all times. You will also help to encourage pupils to develop positive eating habits.We are looking for someone who:Is enthusiastic, reliable and hardworkingHas a caring and positive approach when working with children and young peopleCan work effectively as part of a teamHas good organisation and communication skills.Understands the importance of food hygiene and health and safety practices.Is able to remain calm and flexible in a busy school environment.Holds a Food Hygiene qualification, or is willing to undertake relevant training.The School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, and applicants must be willing to undergo pre-employment checks appropriate to the post and stage of recruitment, including social media screening, references from past employers, and an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.Please note that interviews will be conducted on a rolling basis.
