Technical Program Manager, Forward Deployed Engineering

Overview

As a Technical Program Manager in Databricks’ Forward Deployed Engineering, you lead a portfolio of complex, high-visibility programs and push delivery excellence. You partner with cross-functional teams and senior leaders to align initiatives with customer objectives and strategic roadmaps. You drive operational improvements, coordinate milestones across engagements, and mentor TPMs to scale impact. This role offers influence over large-scale data-driven programs and the chance to shape how customers achieve ambitious data goals through our platform.

Responsibilities

• Own and lead a portfolio of highly complex, high-visibility programs aligned with customer objectives
• Drive innovation and efficiency across the PS team to improve delivery outcomes
• Coordinate technical milestones and dependencies across multiple concurrent engagements
• Lead complex technical delivery discussions with senior managers to maintain momentum
• Mentor junior TPMs and refine delivery processes to scale impact

Key requirements

• Extensive experience managing complex technical programs
• Product Management experience is a plus
• Intermediate technical fluency; Databricks Associate-level Certification required within 6 months of hire
• Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools into program management workflows
• Track record of process innovation and delivering improved operational performance
