Senior Partner, Finance and Planning Business Partnering

Overview

In this role you will partner with delivery leadership to manage financial performance and governance of NHS England programmes. You will work with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure funds are used effectively and within annual budget. You will deliver regular financial analysis and reporting to inform senior decision making. The role offers exposure to high-profile, fast-paced NHS projects and opportunities to shape financial planning across the organisation. You will contribute to the NHS mission to improve patient care and reduce inequality.

Responsibilities

• Provide dedicated finance partnering support to a delivery leadership team to manage financial performance and governance of programmes/services
• Proactively initiate and promote discussions with internal and external stakeholders
• Produce monthly, quarterly, annual and ad-hoc financial analyses and reports for senior decision making
• Accurately prepare, analyse, and present data from multiple sources using Excel and/or other reporting solutions
• Develop and maintain strong working relationships with stakeholders
• Ensure segregation of duties and compliance with schemes of delegation

Key requirements

• Degree level education and CCAB qualification
• Finance partnering techniques
• Knowledge of developing and providing financial and management information for senior teams
• Knowledge of finance systems
• Knowledge of VAT principles
• Knowledge of capital/revenue decisions and associated accounting standards
• Ability to present complex financial information clearly to finance and non-finance audiences
• Advanced analytical skills in reviewing and evaluating financial data
• Experience producing regular and ad-hoc financial analysis for decision making
• Experience building relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Knowledge of reporting for management and financial purposes
