Principal Architect – Finance

Overview

In this Architect role, you will help define and deliver a data and technology strategy to support Finance transformation at LSEG. You will shape technical architectures, ensure alignment with standards, and work with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable data solutions. You will engage stakeholders, assess options (On-Prem/PaaS/SaaS), and guide delivery through design reviews and governance forums. Responsibilities

• Review business requirements and steer operational and non-functional needs
• Design architecture solutions for Finance aligned with strategy and standards
• Provide clear solution views to stakeholders
• Evaluate options against benefits and risks
• Support vendor selection and architecture decisions
• Assess impact on Finance and broader LSEG technology landscape
• Assist delivery teams with both technical and stakeholder communication
• Review detailed designs and provide best-practice recommendations
• Ensure designs comply with Digital Blueprint, EA, and Roadmaps
• Use modelling techniques and standards for design delivery
• Present designs to governance forums for sign-off
• Collaborate with business, operations and technology to form holistic problem statements
• Analyze needs to design complex ecosystems around CRM, Billing, ERP, sales & marketing with data, integrations, UI, and security configurations

Key requirements

• Experience in architecture patterns for Finance
• Oracle experience (DB, Fusion SaaS, ORMB or EPM) a plus
• Cloud and on-prem architecture experience (AWS, Azure, Oracle)
• Strong data concepts for reporting and analytics
• Independent delivery capability across Finance streams
• Experience delivering strategic data solutions for banking/financial services or regulated organizations
• Experience with SaaS, PaaS, managed services
• Strong written and verbal communication for technical and non-technical audiences
