Vice President – Strategic Advisory (Debt Infrastructure/Financing)

Overview

As a Vice President in the Strategic Advisory Group, you drive the day‑to‑day execution of complex transactions and lead with analytical rigor. You collaborate with senior teammates and cross‑functional groups to evaluate financial alternatives, structure deals, and coordinate client materials. You will work on a broad mix of financing transactions and strategic combinations, including restructurings, asset sales, and divestitures. This role offers close exposure to senior leaders and the chance to shape high‑impact advisory outcomes for diverse clients.

Responsibilities

• Lead day‑to‑day execution of transactions: due diligence, valuation, contract negotiations, and coordinating materials with associates/analysts
• Evaluate and structure financial alternatives across investment grade and non‑investment grade ratings
• Contribute to financing transactions including mergers, asset sales, restructurings, and divestitures
• Develop quantitative models to assess economic performance of target companies
• Prepare written analyses and evaluations for PJT Partners management and client reviews
• Participate in client meetings, negotiations, and due diligence sessions
• Collaborate with Restructuring and Special Situations Group and cross‑functional teams to support distressed scenarios

Key requirements

• Minimum Bachelor’s Degree
• Minimum 6 years of investment banking experience
• Multiple years of debt infrastructure / infrastructure financing experience in investment banking
• Strong background in finance, accounting and legal documentation for structuring and executing investment grade, leveraged, and distressed financings
