Construction Senior Associate/Associate Director

Overview

You will join a national non-contentious construction team to lead development-focused matters, particularly in the Living sector. The role combines transactional leadership with client stakeholder management, across Bristol or London, contributing to the firm’s strategic growth in infrastructure and residential projects. You will work with cross-functional advisers on complex procurement and development structures, shaping high-profile deals. This is an opportunity to grow a practice at a respected firm and mentor junior colleagues.

Responsibilities

• lead transactions and coordinate with a junior associate
• manage client stakeholders through developments
• advise on construction procurement agreements (bespoke or standard forms)
• work with other practice areas (real estate, banking, renewables)
• support multi-party, complex development structures (forward funding, project finance-led)
• contribute to business development and cross-office collaboration

Key requirements

• non-contentious construction experience from a City or national firm
• interest in a broad range of development work
• experience in Living sector developments (forward funds, BTR, affordable, mixed-use)
• ability to work across multiple matters and sectors
• prior leadership or mentoring experience a plus
• flexible level of experience (Senior Associate or Associate Director)
