Do you have the right skills and experience for this role Read on to find out, and make your application.As the successful candidate, you will provide a comprehensive housing assessment and advice function to people in housing need by:

• Carrying out detailed assessments of those applying to join the Council’s Housing Register
• Applying relevant legislation and the Council’s Housing Allocations Policy to individual circumstances to determine eligibility and qualification to join the Council’s Housing Register
• Identifying people at risk of homelessness and proactively intervening to prevent homelessness whenever possible
• Finding creative housing solutions for those who may be excluded from the Housing Register
• Carry out home visits and provide the service in different locations and settings in the Borough in an office-based and outreach capacity, ensuring access to the service is provided to those who may be socially excluded.

To be considered for the role you will need:

• Housing legislation, case law and guidance in relation to the Housing Register;
• Housing legislation, case law and guidance in relation to homelessness;
• Assessing housing and/or support needs and providing support to vulnerable people. xwwtmva
