Senior Software Engineer

Overview

As a Senior Software Engineer at Raytheon UK, you design and build software for mission-critical defense and cyber solutions. You will work in SCRUM teams within a national security context, collaborating with stakeholders to drive milestones and continuous improvement. The role offers hybrid working once eDV clearance is granted, contributing to high-impact projects across defence domains. Key requirements

• Core Software Engineering experience with JavaScript frameworks (React, NextJS), TypeScript, Python or Java
• REST API development / OpenAPI / Swagger
• Cloud services (AWS or Azure)
• Containerisation & orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift)
• Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible)
• Relational Databases (PostgreSQL)
• Elasticsearch / OpenSearch
• Unit testing and automation / testing frameworks (Mocha, Jest, Cypress)
• Experience in an Agile delivery team
