EU Direct Tax Advisory Manager/Senior Manager

Overview

Enthusiastic Direct Tax Advisory Manager/Senior Manager to join TikTok’s Europe Tax team in London. You will support rapid European growth with direct tax advisory, governance, and cross-functional collaboration. You’ll manage multi-country tax filings, governance controls, and local initiatives like Pillar 2 and DSTs, shaping practical tax solutions. This role blends technical tax expertise with stakeholder engagement to help TikTok stay compliant and agile across Europe. You will work closely with Accounting, Legal, Transfer Pricing, Treasury and HR to drive impact.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and collate data for direct tax filings across multiple European countries; review external returns for accuracy; ensure timely filing of corporation tax, withholding tax and other local taxes.
• Support central tax reporting and review local tax accounting calculations.
• Manage direct tax payments including forecasting and installments.
• Enhance end-to-end tax controls and processes (tax governance).
• Provide local tax insights to Global Tax Business Partners from technical and operational perspectives.
• Support local tax initiatives including Pillar 2, e-commerce, financing, and Digital Services Taxes (DSTs).
• Monitor tax legislation changes and recommend practical responses.

Key requirements

• 5+ years’ experience in industry or multinational accounting firm.
• Experience in European direct tax advisory and governance.

• Relationship building with internal teams and vendors
• Independence and adaptability; self-starter in fast-paced environment
• Learning orientation; curiosity for new tax concepts and research
