Turnaround & Restructuring – Company Side Director

Overview

In this Director role, you will lead financial and operational restructurings, working with management teams to stabilise crises and deliver value for investors. You will collaborate across global teams to drive commercially successful engagements and sometimes take board or interim leadership positions. You’ll contribute to business development while applying a hands-on, pragmatic approach to complex distressed situations. Responsibilities

• Lead restructuring engagements and deliver practical, value-driven solutions
• Manage senior stakeholders, lenders, shareholders, and boards through distressed processes
• Drive business generation and contribute to the firm’s reputation for positive client impact
• Provide hands-on support to client financial teams (Treasury/FP&A) and shape business plans
• Coordinate with global colleagues and promote the firm’s capabilities in turnarounds
• Ensure delivery in fast-paced, multi-jurisdictional environments
• Represent the firm in board meetings and management committees with clear, influential communication

Key requirements

• Hands-on project management experience in financial and/or operational restructuring
• University degree and a relevant postgraduate qualification (e.g., Accounting)
• Experience in debtor-side distressed situations and managing senior stakeholders
• Liquidity management, distressed M&A, operational turnarounds, and business plan modeling
• Strong financial analysis and ability to build three-statement models
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
• Excellent written and verbal English; additional languages beneficial
• Willingness to work outside normal hours and in flexible office/remote settings
