Senior Tax Accountant ACCA

Overview

In this role you will support the UK Tax team in VAT and corporate tax compliance for a global organisation. You will work closely with SSC and accounting managers to ensure accurate tax and financial reporting, including timely VAT returns and group tax submissions. You will also oversee journal entries and assist junior staff, contributing to precise closing processes. This role offers exposure to multinational accounting and tax matters within a client-facing, hybrid London setting.

Responsibilities

• Support VAT return process and respond to VAT queries
• Assist in preparation of corporate income tax and VAT returns with the tax team and external advisers
• Complete accounting closing for SPC entities and ensure proper journal entries
• Maintain accounting treatments in collaboration with SSC and accounting managers
• Advise business on accounting and tax issues
• Monitor work of junior staff and complete tax-related tasks as directed by Manager/GM
• Perform other related accounting/tax duties as instructed

Key requirements

• 5–7 years PQE with ACCA
• Extensive accounting and tax experience, particularly VAT
• Strong English communication skills
• IT proficiency with Microsoft Excel/Word and SAP
• Numerical and analytical capabilities
• Ability to resolve complex problems under tight deadlines
