Job Description Our clients, a well-established multi-disciplined practice providing consultancy services across both the public and private sectors, is seeking to recruit a Qualified Quantity Surveyor. n This is an exciting opportunity to join an outstanding team without the commute into London. n You will play an active role in the delivery of project and professional services to a wide range of public and private sector clients, across London and the South East of England. n The successful candidate will be working directly on schemes ranging from £5000.000-£40,000.000 both Pre and Post Contract. The candidate will be responsible for reporting directly to the Partner Quantity Surveyors. n A detailed understanding of all below is essential: n n Cost Estimating to NRM1 standard n Procurement and Tendering n Working with JCT Suite of Contracts n Project Financial Control and Reporting n Valuations n Risk Management n n To be successful in this role you will: n n Ideally be a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS n Have a minimum of 3 years relevant professional consultancy experience n Have extensive experience of Quantity Surveying and the day-to-day tasks listed above. n Require previous experience on a variety of public sector works. n Be well organised, efficient, using initiative and working to tight deadlines. n Possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, coupled with an eye for detail, a commitment to excellence and developing strong client relationships. n Have proven IT skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel, ideally will have used measurement software CostX or similar n Able to identify areas of commercial opportunity for future development. n Full UK driving licence and access to a car (preferably) n n Company Benefits n n 26 day’s holidays plus bank holidays n Staff Profit Share (bonus) Scheme n Company Pension Scheme n Payment of Professional Fees (up to one professional body) n Life Cover n n They operate a flexible week where currently up to 40% of your time can be working from home (post probation) n Please Note: n Due to the high volume of CVs we receive it is not viable for us to respond to individuals.
