Overview

In this role you will translate AI research breakthroughs into Google’s models and products, collaborating with researchers and product teams to drive architecture advances. You’ll evaluate implications for Gemini and other models, build collaborations across model development and product groups, and enable new model capabilities via tooling and ecosystems. You may ship new model families or custom models while shaping adoption and communication strategies. The work combines high-impact research with product delivery to scale transformative AI responsibly.

Responsibilities

• Translate architectural breakthroughs into Google/DeepMind models and products
• Collaborate with researchers and model development teams to align architecture with product goals
• Assess implications of new architectures on Gemini and other models, guiding tradeoffs
• Build tooling and infrastructure ecosystems to enable viable model advances
• Ship entirely new models or model families and enable integration into products
• Shape communication and ecosystem strategy to drive adoption and awareness

Key requirements

• Bachelor’s in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
• 10 years of experience building AI products, including AI architecture and models
• Strong communication of complex technical ideas with simplicity
• Experience collaborating with executive stakeholders and technical leads

• clear goal setting and strategic thinking
• ability to translate research into actionable product plans
• understanding of current model landscape and strengths/weaknesses of various techniques
• staying up-to-date on core model advancements research
