Project Manager – Estates Management

Overview

In this role you lead delivery of complex estates and construction projects for a defence/tech organisation across the UK. You will manage the full project lifecycle, ensuring on-time delivery, budget control, and top safety/quality standards. You’ll collaborate with technical specialists, consultants and stakeholders to drive a diverse portfolio of upgrades, refurbishments and new-builds. A strong safety culture and governance are central, with impactful, nationwide projects that support critical infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Managing the full project lifecycle from planning to handover
• Leading project teams and coordinating internal stakeholders, suppliers and contractors
• Creating and maintaining programmes, budgets and cost plans
• Driving health and safety culture across projects
• Managing external consultants and specialist contractors
• Overseeing project documentation, governance and change control
• Monitoring risks, progress and performance with stakeholder reporting
• Ensuring compliance with legislation, regulations and industry standards

Key requirements

• Strong understanding of the RIBA Plan of Work and project delivery stages
• Knowledge of UK Building Regulations
• Working knowledge of CDM Regulations
• Experience administering or working with NEC3 contracts
• At least 3 years’ experience leading teams to deliver construction projects
• Proven ability to manage budgets, programmes, risks and stakeholders
