Chiller Service Engineer

Overview

In this role you will service, maintain and fault-find commercial and industrial chillers at Heathrow, ensuring reliable performance and adherence to safety standards. You will work closely with the site team to perform planned maintenance and diagnose faults across refrigeration, electrical and controls. You’ll contribute to equipment upgrades and documentation while supporting related HVAC systems. Responsibilities

• Planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on chillers
• Reactive repairs and fault diagnosis
• Electrical, refrigeration and controls troubleshooting
• Identify equipment improvements and upgrades
• Complete service documentation
• Ensure compliance with health and safety procedures
• Possible support for AHUs and ventilation systems

Key requirements

• NVQ Level 2 in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning (Level 3 desirable)
• F-Gas Category 1 Certification
• Experience servicing air-cooled and water-cooled chillers
• Strong fault-finding across refrigeration, electrical and controls
• Experience with York, Trane, Carrier
• Ability to read technical drawings and electrical schematics
• Full UK driving licence
