Lead Specialist, Program Manager

Overview

In this role, you drive the AI Control Plane (AICP) programme, bridging technical delivery with governance and analytics. You’ll coordinate across business units, engineering, security, and legal to implement the enterprise AI telemetry dashboard and enable scalable AI value. You act as product owner for the dashboard, turning data into actionable insight for leadership. This role offers visibility at board level and a chance to shape Pearson’s AI governance and measurement culture.

Responsibilities

• Translate AICP strategy into executable plans with owners, milestones, and dependencies
• Lead programme cadence: status reports, risk logs, steering committees, and working groups
• Coordinate external delivery partners against contracts and terms
• Drive adoption of governance and security capabilities with target onboarding
• Act as product owner for the enterprise AI telemetry dashboard: define personas, backlog, and V1 release
• Prototype and design mockups to accelerate engineering efforts

Key requirements

• 5+ years of programme or project management in technology with cross-functional scope across product, engineering, and operations
• Product management or product-owner experience for technical or data products with a shipped v1
• Vendor coordination with major enterprise technology partners
• Working understanding of AI, data engineering, or cloud architecture to translate constraints into delivery plans
