Fit-out Quantity surveyor

Overview

In this role you oversee the commercial management of fit-out and refurbishment projects for a respected London contractor. You will partner with the commercial team to optimize cost, procurement, and final accounts across Cat A/B office projects. The role offers exposure to high-profile clients and fast-track schemes in a collaborative, office-to-site environment. You contribute to project profitability while working with cross-functional teams. This position provides growth opportunities within a recognized market player.

Responsibilities

• Manage the commercial performance of fit-out and refurbishment projects
• Review scope, drawings, specifications and trade packages
• Procure and manage subcontractor and supplier packages
• Prepare and analyse tender enquiries and quotations
• Negotiate subcontract orders and commercial terms
• Manage subcontractor accounts, valuations, payments and final accounts
• Undertake monthly valuations and applications for payment
• Prepare CVRs, cost reports and project forecasts
• Monitor project costs, cash flow and profitability
• Identify and manage variations, change and commercial risks

Key requirements

• Experience as a Quantity Surveyor in fit-out, refurbishment or commercial construction
• Strong subcontractor package management from procurement through final account
• Good understanding of commercial office fit-out and refurbishment projects
• Experience with valuations, variations, CVRs, forecasting and cost control
• Strong negotiation and subcontractor management skills
• Excellent commercial awareness and attention to detail
• Confident collaboration with project teams, clients and senior management
• Proactive in a fast-paced environment
• Desirable qualification in Quantity Surveying/Commercial Management
