Manager/Associate Director, Private Companies, Business Tax

Overview

In this role you work within Deloitte’s Private Companies tax team in London to guide privately owned businesses through growth, cross-border expansion and transaction activity. You will lead client service delivery, nurture relationships, and identify opportunities with existing and new clients. You will manage diverse teams, mentor juniors, and collaborate with partners to deliver high-quality tax advice. The role offers hybrid working and strong development within a global tax practice.

Responsibilities

• Lead client service delivery and develop client relationships
• Identify and win opportunities with existing and new clients
• Manage diverse teams and foster an inclusive culture
• Provide technical tax advice across projects for privately owned companies
• Support international expansion and coordination with Deloitte member firms
• Assist with due diligence, structuring on acquisitions, and post-acquisition integration
• Support exit events (IPOs, private equity investments, trade sales) and corporate reorganisations
• Coordinate input from indirect taxes, employment taxes, and management incentives specialists
• Oversee tax reporting and compliance engagements

Key requirements

• UK corporate tax experience in compliance, advisory or transactions
• Keen attention to detail
