We are recruiting for a Depot Driver / Shunter to join a busy Logistics team supporting the safe movement of traction and rolling stock within a rail depot environment.
The Role
You will be responsible for the safe control and movement of traction and rolling stock, ensuring all activities are completed in line with operational procedures and safety standards. Key duties include:Safe control of rail vehicle movementsCoupling and uncoupling vehicles, sets and unitsOperating as a competent ShunterOperating as a competent Shunt Vehicle DriverSupporting daily depot and logistics operations
What We’re Looking For
To be successful in this role, you should have:Strong understanding of rail operations within a depot, private facility, or rail yard environmentExperience working as a Designated Person, Shunter, Driver, or similar rail operations roleKnowledge of Network Rail standards and activitiesExcellent communication skillsGood computer literacy skills
Desirable Experience
