Contract Manager – Highways

Overview

In this long-term role in North London, you will lead highways term maintenance contracts to support efficient delivery and accurate financial closure. You will drive final accounts and ensure work aligns with the Schedule of Rates, while handling NEC3 compensation events and contract procurement. You will oversee programming of inspections and reactive works and monitor contractor performance against KPIs. You will maintain clear contract communications and collaborate with the highways team to deliver reliable, safe, and well-maintained highway networks.

Responsibilities

• Produce estimates in line with the contract and finalize accounts accurately
• Assess compensation events under NEC3
• Manage and procure contracts
• Plan and supervise highways inspections and reactive works
• Agree final accounts for schemes and reactive works
• Budget management and monitoring
• Monitor contractor performance against KPIs
• Respond promptly to contract communications
