DescriptionWe are hiring for our client, a respected precast concrete business entering an exciting new chapter of growth. They are seeking an experienced Commercial Manager / Senior QS to lead the commercial management of a portfolio of precast projects. Reporting to senior management, the successful Commercial Manager will work closely with the sales and operations teams to deliver strong commercial outcomes.

The Role
Contract review and administration: Review contract terms, identify risks and manage administration across a portfolio of precast projects
Forecasting and cost control: Prepare accurate forecasts, monitor performance against budget and report to senior management
Valuations and variations: Prepare and agree valuations, and price and negotiate variations so all additional work is captured
Contractual notices: Issue and respond to notices within required timescales to protect the business’s commercial position
Commercial negotiations: Negotiate with clients, contractors and suppliers on pricing, variations and claims
Final accounts: Prepare, negotiate and agree final accounts to bring projects to a clear financial close
The Person
Proven experience in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management
Strong commercial and contractual knowledge within construction or building materials
Collaborative, with the ability to build strong working relationships
Commercially astute, pragmatic and results-focused
