Makeup Artist – Part Time – 16 hours

Location: Oxford, John Lewis & Partners – 101, The Westgate, Queen St, Oxford OX1 1PB

Hours: 32 hours – Part Time

Salary: £13.12 – £13.48 per hour + competitive commission structure

Overview

We’re looking for Makeup Artists to join our sparkling Oxford team. A Trinny London Artist is the heart of all activity. You will embody our mission of giving customers tools to be their best every day, combining artistry, product knowledge, and a passion for people.

The Role

Your daily responsibilities may include:

• Greeting customers and providing exceptional customer service
• Offering personalized consultative support and guidance
• Demonstrating and recommending products for desired looks and concerns
• Conducting pre-booked makeup appointments
• Exceeding sales targets by promoting products
• Upselling and cross-selling related items
• Collaborating with the team to achieve overall sales goals
• Maintaining clean, organized, visually appealing makeup section
• Implementing attractive displays for featured products and promotions
• Keeping makeup tools and workstations clean and sanitized (health & safety compliance)

Requirements

• Experience in retail, preferably within beauty or cosmetics
• Passionate about makeup and skincare
• Experience with customer relationship management and data capture targets
• Adaptable and confident in a fast-paced, high-pressured environment
• Positive, can-do attitude
• Motivated by exceeding targets and KPIs
• Punctual and flexible to work retail hours, including bank holidays and weekends
• Personable with a customer-centric mindset
