Start your career in childcare! Join the KOOSA Kids Head Office Team as Children’s Activity Coordinator. Full training will be provided. As an integral part of our business, you will support our Operations Manager and learn every detail of delivering high quality activities and childcare to school‑age children. With a particular focus on ensuring our breakfast, after‑school and holiday clubs are resourced and prepared each day, you’ll gain hands‑on experience by directly managing our clubs daily. This exciting, developmental role means no day will ever be the same.
This full‑time position offers a mix of office‑based work and hands‑on childcare experience at breakfast, after‑school and holiday clubs. A bespoke on‑the‑job training programme will help you develop the skills and knowledge required to confidently manage our clubs in line with KOOSA Kids and Ofsted requirements. KOOSA Kids is a fully Ofsted‑registered, leading provider of holiday, after‑school and breakfast club childcare for children aged 4 to 13 years, operating over 50 clubs across Berkshire, Hampshire, Greater London, and Surrey, employing 400+ staff and committed to delivering outstanding quality, affordable childcare.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Operations Manager with preparation of operational resources and paperwork, equipment inventories, activity programme development, and marketing of provision to parents and schools.
- Directly manage a breakfast, after‑school and/or holiday club each day, including day‑to‑day management of club staff.
- Provide a safe and secure environment for the children in your care to explore, grow, and be inspired.
- Actively develop a thorough understanding of relevant Ofsted standards and KOOSA Kids internal policies and procedures, fully supported by our Training & Development Manager.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
- Experience of working in a wrap‑around/playwork sector, primary school, pre‑school, nursery or sports setting is desirable but not essential.
- Full driving licence with access to your own vehicle (essential).
- Enthusiastic, inspirational, and able to bring fun and creativity to the team.
- Ability to relate and engage with children aged 4‑13 years.
- Strong communication skills and ability to motivate others to deliver a high standard.
- Clear for an enhanced DBS check and willingness to obtain the necessary clearance.
Hours & Conditions
Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week.
