A specialist SEN school in Harrow is looking for a Special Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) to support pupils with a range of additional needs, including Autism (ASD), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), and Complex Needs.
Position details:
Special Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) to start ASAP or September
Long-term role with scope to become permanent, based on your performance
Full-time position (Monday to Friday)
Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
Working closely with teachers, therapists, and support staff
The successful Special Needs Teaching Assistant will have:
At least 3 months’ experience supporting children or young people with SEN, particularly Autism and learning difficulties
Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils
A patient, resilient, and proactive approach to supporting children with additional needs
The ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
A genuine passion for helping pupils achieve their full potential
You will need:
A fully enhanced DBS
Full-time availability (Monday to Friday)
Experience supporting pupils with SEN and additional needs
