Multiple secondary schools across Wigan have asked us to recruit enthusiastic Graduate Teaching Assistants and future Cover Supervisors to support their students from September. If you’re considering a career in teaching, this is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable classroom experience, receive ongoing training, and build the confidence and skills needed before starting teacher training.
The Role
As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you’ll work alongside experienced teachers to support students in lessons, provide one-to-one and small group interventions, and help create a positive learning environment. Full training is provided, so previous school experience isn’t essential.
As you gain confidence and experience, you’ll also have the opportunity to work as a Cover Supervisor, delivering pre-planned lessons in the teacher’s absence. This comes with increased responsibility and the opportunity to earn a higher daily rate.
