Year 2 Teacher Norwich

About the role:

Justteachers are pleased to be working with a welcoming and supportive Primary school in Norwich, who are seeking an enthusiastic and committed KS1 Teacher to join their team on a long term full time supply basis, starting September.

This school promotes a nurturing and inclusive learning environment where pupils are encouraged to develop confidence, curiosity, and a love of learning. Staff work collaboratively within a supportive team, sharing resources and ideas to ensure high-quality teaching and positive outcomes for all pupils.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach a Year 2 class, delivering engaging and creative lessons in line with the KS1 curriculum
• Plan and deliver lessons that support pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all children feel supported
• Differentiate learning to meet the needs of pupils of varying abilities
• Maintain high expectations for behaviour, learning, and classroom routines
• Assess and monitor pupil progress in line with school expectations
• Work closely with teaching assistants, colleagues, and parents to support pupil achievement
• Contribute to the wider school community and school events where appropriate

Pre-requisites

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification
• Experience teaching within KS1, ideally in Year 2
• Strong knowledge of the Primary curriculum
• The ability to engage and inspire young learners
• Good classroom and behaviour management skills
• Confidence working within an established team and following school policies
• A reliable, flexible, and positive approach to long-term supply work
• Two recent education-based references
