Overview
Food and Nutrition Teacher – Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire – temp to permanent role starting September 2026. A well-established secondary academy in Aylesbury is seeking an experienced Food and Nutrition Teacher to start in September on an ongoing, temp to permanent basis. The role offers the new 3.5% uplifted MPS (or UPS) rates from day 1 with full teaching responsibilities at a diverse and vibrant secondary school. The school is part of a supportive and structured trust, renowned for promoting staff and student development, diversity and inclusivity. An excellent and extensive extra-curricular and careers programme is available.
Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and practical Food and Nutrition lessons across KS3–KS4
- Inspire students to achieve their personal best within a supportive learning environment
- Plan and assess in line with the department’s established schemes of work
- Contribute to sustaining and enhancing the Design & Technology Department
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (desirable)
- Experience teaching Food and Nutrition at Secondary level (essential)
- Commitment to supporting all learners, including those with additional needs
- Enhanced DBS Checked, on Update Service (or willing to apply)
- A full employment and educational history
- Reliably commutable to Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire
