Commercial Gas Engineer

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Commercial Gas Engineer to join a long established company based in South East London. Basic salary is up to £60k plus travel pay and great benefits.

A specialist in Commercial HVAC services, this company has been operating for over 50 years. They are looking for someone with 5‑10 years of experience servicing and fault‑finding on a range of commercial heating systems.

Typical duties

• Service, maintain, and repair of commercial boiler and associated plant
• Carry out reactive fault‑finding and breakdown works
• Work independently and as part of a team
• Maintain high standards of workmanship and compliance
• Follow safe systems of work and all relevant regulations

Certificates (required)

• Full Commercial Gas qualifications, COCN1 / CODNCO1
• TPC (Tightness Testing & Purging)
• Boosters (Desirable)
• LPG (Desirable)
• OFTEC (Desirable)
• Strong technical knowledge
• BMS experience
• Full UK driving licence

Package

• Basic salary up to £60k plus travel pay, overtime and benefits. OTE £65k+ easily achievable.
• 40hr week, Monday to Friday with an hour for lunch.
• Monthly travel pay scheme.
• On‑call status every 6 weeks, standby allowance £150 per week; all overtime paid at 1.75.
• Company pension scheme.
• Salary reviewed after probation.
• 23 days holiday, plus 8 bank holidays.
• Van, fuel card, mobile telephone and all tools supplied.

Projects are predominantly based in London and within the M25, keeping travel consistent and predictable.
