Hours: 8:15am – 3:30pm

Overview
Teach Now is seeking a strong, experienced and committed SEN Teaching Assistant to provide full‑time 1:1 support for a child moving from Year 2 to Year 3. The child has Autism and may present with challenging behaviour, so previous ASC experience and strong behaviour management skills are essential.
Responsibilities
- Providing dedicated 1:1 support for a child with Autism and challenging behaviour.
- Supporting learning, communication and emotional regulation.
- Using consistent behaviour strategies and clear boundaries.
- Helping the pupil stay safe, focused and included.
- Working closely with the class teacher, SENCO and wider school team.
- Encouraging independence, confidence and participation in learning.
Requirements
- Previous experience supporting children with Autism.
- Strong experience managing challenging behaviour.
- Experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant, 1:1 TA or similar.
- A calm, firm, resilient and nurturing approach.
- Excellent reliability and commitment to the full working hours.
- Strong communication skills and a genuine passion for SEN support.
