Rail Structures Engineer – London. £65,000 plus benefits. This role is with a well-respected multidisciplinary practice with a healthy workload, seeking a Rail Structures specialist who can contribute to and grow the client offering.
A seasoned Rail-focused Structural Engineer with strong relations across developers and contractors, the ability to win work, and the capability to lead a dynamic team on sizeable projects is required. The candidate should have the desire to grow the team of engineers and expand the company’s rail offerings across the country.
Responsibilities
- Lead delivery of rail structures projects (footbridges, access structures, and infrastructure-related structures) from concept to completion.
- Develop and maintain relationships with developers and contractors to generate new work and opportunities.
- Mentor and manage a team of engineers, fostering technical excellence and collaborative delivery.
- Contribute to strategic growth of the rail engineering offering within the practice.
- Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and quality requirements across projects.
Qualifications
- Strong technical background in footbridges, accesses, and infrastructure-related structures within the private sector.
- Proven ability to win work and lead a team on sizeable rail projects.
- Good client-facing skills and ability to build relationships with developers and contractors.
- Experience within a multidisciplinary practice and capability to expand teams across multiple locations.
