What does a Business Studies Teacher do?
Plan and deliver engaging Business Studies lessons across KS4 and KS5
Teach Business Studies, Economics, or both depending on your specialism and experience
Develop students’ understanding of key business concepts, including finance, marketing, entrepreneurship, and business strategy
Use real-world examples and current business trends to bring lessons to life
Create an engaging and inclusive learning environment where all students can thrive
Manage classroom behaviour effectively and promote positive learning attitudes
Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback to support development
Encourage students to develop their analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills
Build positive relationships with students and inspire an interest in business and the wider world of work
Work collaboratively with colleagues to support the wider Business Studies department and school community

What we’re looking for:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching experience
A degree in Business, Economics, or a related subject
Strong subject knowledge across Business Studies and/or Economics
Experience teaching Business Studies at secondary level
Excellent classroom management and communication skills
A passion for inspiring and motivating young people
The ability to use real-world examples to engage students and make learning relevant
The ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
