The school is looking to appoint a full-time PMLD Teacher from September on a long-term basis. The successful PMLD Teacher will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons for pupils with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD) and Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), while working closely with experienced support staff and other professionals to ensure every pupil receives the highest standard of education and care.
The successful PMLD Teacher will have:
- QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
- Extensive experience working with pupils with PMLD, ASC and SLD
- Advanced knowledge of strategies to support pupils with complex learning needs and communication difficulties
- Experience delivering personalised and sensory-based learning opportunities
- Excellent classroom management and strong behaviour support skills
- A caring, patient and adaptable approach to teaching
