Our client is an established civil engineering contractor based in Omagh. They have 2 exciting new opportunities for SHEQ Advisors to work on a variety of projects:
– SHEQ Advisor – Permanent, both office-based in Omagh and field-based in surrounding counties.
– SHEQ Advisor – 12 month FTC, for projects in Dublin.
What you’ll be doing
– Champion a positive Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality culture across the business.
– Carry out site inspections, audits and incident investigations, ensuring lessons learned are implemented.
– Review and maintain risk assessments, method statements and SHEQ documentation.
– Deliver engaging site inductions and coordinate SHEQ training for employees and contractors.
– Support compliance with ISO 45001, ISO 14001 and ISO 9001 management systems.
– Monitor SHEQ performance, maintain accurate records and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
– Work collaboratively with project teams to provide practical advice and support on SHEQ matters.
What we’re looking for
You’ll be a confident communicator with a proactive approach and a genuine commitment to improving workplace safety.
You’ll also have:
– A NEBOSH Occupational Health & Safety Certificate (held for a minimum of two years).
– At least 2 years’ experience in a Health & Safety role.
– Knowledge of ISO 45001, ISO 14001 and ISO 9001 management systems.
– Strong organisational, planning and problem-solving skills.
– Good IT skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
– A full, valid driving licence.
For the Permanent Omagh-based role – must have the right to work in UK and Ireland.
For the 12 month FTC – must have the right to work in Ireland.
Desirable:
– Environmental and/or Quality qualifications.
