Leisure Officer

Role: Leisure Officer (NPLQ)

Location: Leyland Leisure Centre

Contract: Part Time (12 hours per week) / Permanent

Salary: 26,527- 26,949 (pro rata) / 13.75 – 13.96 per hour

We are looking to recruit two Leisure Officers to join our friendly and committed team at Leyland Leisure Centre.

This is a fantastic opportunity to support the delivery of high quality community leisure services and to play a vital role in ensuring our customers enjoy a safe, welcoming and positive experience every time they visit.

What you’ll be getting up to

• Providing a friendly, efficient and professional service to all customers
• Supervising the pool and leisure facilities to ensure customer safety at all times
• Monitoring customer behaviour, enforcing pool regulations and water safety policies
• Responding to emergencies in line with the Emergency Action Plan (EAP) and Pool Safety Operating Procedures (PSOP), including administering first aid and rescue when required
• Supporting Duty Managers with health and safety monitoring and operational checks

Who we’re looking for

We are looking for confident, positive and self motivated individuals who:

• Are comfortable working independently while also being a strong team player
• Have excellent customer service and communication skills
• Take a proactive approach to health and safety
• Are calm and professional when responding to customer enquiries or issues
• Enjoy working with members of the public in a busy leisure environment
• Hold a valid National Pool Lifeguard Qualification

Additional requirements

• This role is subject to an Enhanced DBS check, facilitated by South Ribble Council
