ALR Operations Engineer | Marine Autonomous Vehicles

National Oceanography Centre in Southampton seeks an ALR Operations Engineer to join the Marine Autonomous and Robotic Systems (MARS) group. You will operate Autosub Long Range (ALR) AUVs worldwide, providing engineering and operations support and collaborating with the Glider and AutoSub5 teams to deliver research missions.

The role includes vehicle maintenance, sensor integration, problem solving, and fieldwork, with weekend/on‑call duties as part of a dedicated multidisciplinary team.
