Job Description:

I’m currently recruiting for an experienced Tenancy and Estate Management Officerto join a well-established Local Authority on an initial6-month contract.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy HousingManagementteam, delivering a customer-focusedtenancyand neighbourhoodmanagementservice while working closely with residents and partner agencies to create sustainabletenanciesand thriving communities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managea designated patch, providing comprehensivetenancyand neighbourhoodmanagementservices.
  • Investigate and resolvetenancybreaches.
  • Carry outtenancysign-ups, accompanied viewings and ensure new tenants understand theirtenancyresponsibilities.
  • Support tenants with rent payment expectations and signpost or assist with Housing Benefit and Universal Credit applications where appropriate.
  • Managetenancychanges, including successions, assignments and mutual exchanges.
  • Conductestateinspections, working alongside internal teams to improve neighbourhood standards and resolve environmental issues.
  • Work collaboratively with internal departments and external agencies to support vulnerable residents and promotetenancysustainment.
  • Identify safeguarding concerns and make appropriate referrals in line with safeguarding procedures.
  • Encourage resident engagement and support community involvement initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate case records and contribute to achieving service performance targets.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working as a HousingOfficer, NeighbourhoodOfficerorTenancyManagementOfficerwithin a Local Authority, Housing Association or similar social housing environment.
  • Experiencemanagingtenancybreaches, anti-social behaviour cases and general housingmanagementissues.
  • Good understanding of housing legislation,tenancymanagementand safeguarding responsibilities.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills with the ability tomanagechallenging situations professionally.
  • Experience working with partner agencies to deliver positive outcomes for residents.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
