North East Dance CIC is seeking an enthusiastic and creativeCommunity Dance Tutor (18.5 hours/week | £15,873) to join our exciting newHeritage Lottery-funded initiative celebrating Sunderland’s rich dance heritagethrough movement, storytelling, and community engagement.
Location: Sunderland & North East
Hours: 18.5 hours per week
Salary: £15,873 actual per annum
Term: Fixed-term (Heritage Fund Grant Dependent)

This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in preservingand celebrating Sunderland’s dance heritage while inspiring people of all agesto connect through creativity and movement.
As our Community Dance Tutor, you will:
- Deliverinspiring dance and movement sessions for young people and older adults
- Facilitateinclusive workshops exploring dance heritage and cultural traditions
- Developengaging learning materials and resources
- Supportparticipant recruitment, engagement, and wellbeing
- Contributeto performances, showcases, and community events
We are looking for someone who is:
- Passionateabout dance, heritage, and community wellbeing
- Experiencedin delivering community dance and movement sessions
- Confidentworking with mixed age groups and diverse communities
- Creative,inclusive, and culturally sensitive in their practice
- Committedto creating welcoming spaces where everyone can participate
This is a North East-based / community-focused role
